I was blind in my right eye from a childhood accident. I had multiple surgeries and human corneal transplant but all failed. Then my eye surgeon referred me to Dr. Gulani saying he was among the foremost in the world in advanced eye surgery.

I had lost my vision in my left eye 17 years ago following an accident.

My life was adversely affected for years due to repeated breakdown of my cornea. My local eye surgeon suggested I travel to see Dr. Gulani since he was aware of his advanced skills in eye surgery.

When I first met you, it was because I had a traumatic cataract in my left eye. As I was blind in my right eye due to a recent accident, the thought of going completely blind was terrifying. Your concern, compassion and patience with me and my husband was incredible! You explained the pros and cons of having cataract surgery including the risk I was taking because the retina had already partially detached and had been repaired. You gave us the ability to make an informed decision on a life-changing event. Not only did you remove the cataract, you inserted an intraocular lens that allowed me to see 20/25 without wearing glasses or the need for contacts! I have been wearing corrective lenses for 50 years! It was like my "window on the world" had been cleaned, polished and opened!!
